Fall might not quite be in the air just yet, but crafty people are definitely starting to get into the fall vibes. I’m longing to knit a big snuggly sweater (and some more pumpkins!) and I’ve been on the lookout for cute knitting patterns featuring jack o’lanterns. Here’s a few things I found.
The Bernat “Very Scary” Pullover features a jack o’lantern face on the front and is sized for kids 2-8 years. This is a free pattern on the Yarnspirations website.
This little Halloween hat from Wiam’s Crafts offers options with jack o’lanterns and ghosts. The top of the hat looks like a spiderweb, too. This free pattern is sized for toddlers and bigger kids.
Rosemary Davis’ Jack-o-lantern Socks (available on Ravelry) are basically normal socks with a jack o’lantern pattern below the cuff and a cute contrasting heel and toe (which is optional, of course!).
These cute tiny treat bags from dollytime on Etsy are adorable for holding little treats for a Halloween party or if you don’t have a ton of trick-or-treaters. Options for embellishment include a pumpkin, witch, cat and owl.
Jack o’lantern dishcloths are a classic and fun project to knit that only requires knowing knits and purls. This version from Daisy and Storm is a great square to use as a washcloth or in an afghan. You can get it on Etsy.
Add Shelley Winiger’s double knit jack o’lantern pot holder and you’ll have a whole holiday ensemble for your kitchen. This one is a free download from Ravelry.
