Made from just three fabrics, this free quilt pattern from Robert Kaufman Fabrics is called Cozy Plaid and it is perfect for beginners.
Designed by Ariga Mahmoudlou to highlight the RK Fabrics batik line called Forest Glen, the combination of greens simply glows. When finished it should measure 49 1/2″ x 60 1/2″, a great lap size.
Made only of squares, this is a very easy quilt to assemble and would be a great starting point to people who want to make a quilt. The placement of the various colors gives it that plaid look and also is a good lesson on color value.
The free downloadable pattern is detailed and has a list of everything you will need to make your quilt. I love it in the colors used, but wouldn’t this be pretty in a set of flannel fabrics?
