40 DIY Easy Wind Chimes You Can Make For Your Patio – Home and Garden

[ad_1]

We all need some fun craft projects in our life, and if you’re looking to make something, now is your chance with these colorful, amazing windchimes. These wind chimes are made from different materials some of them are made from recycled kitchen items such as forks and spoons.  Cutlery or silverware is great for windchimes as they are heavy and make a great clanging sound in the wind.  I have to admit I am a little sound sensitive so I am not a big fan of clanking tinny-sounding wind chimes, but apparently, my neighbours are as they have a set on their patio. I am still trying to work out how to use a sling shot to get it to the ground.  Not time

I love being inspired by other artists so make sure to check out some of the amazing wind chime designs on Etsy

Maybe you are looking for a wind chime with a little less noise? Try some seashell wind chimes, the sound of the seashells hitting one another is much softer and gentle on the ears. Different materials will have a very different sound, especially when they clank together so give them a test clank before choosing the items you want to work with.

Air drying clay

is another popular medium to work with right now and you can use cookie cutters to cut shapes to suit your wind chime design. These clay looks are perfect for boho-style home decor inside and outside on the porch.
