Xerjoff K’Bridge Club Perfume Review

Xerjoff K’Bridge Club is a more linear scent that started with a caramelized rose with spicy, nutty undertones from coriander and coffee, though most of the journey was supported by coffee. It became sweeter, more caramelized, and kissed with vanilla through the drydown with the rose only disappearing in the very last couple of hours of wear.

  • top notes: Bulgarian rose
  • heart notes: coriander
  • base notes: coffee, caramel, bourbon vanilla

The first minute was lightly sweetened rose, which was followed by a pinch of coriander–slightly spicy and nutty with a subtle citrus undertone–followed by warm, caramelized coffee. Everything blended together in such a way that it was hard to pick out individual notes, though the early stage was characterized by a caramel-rose with underlying nuttiness.

The rose was nutty and sweet with the coffee, caramel, and vanilla, rather than jammy or more syrupy-sweet and more obviously rose as a result. It continued in this vein for two hours with almost no discernible changes; at most, a bit more caramelized over time. The rose turned jammier and less like caramel and coffee, more supported by boozy vanilla in the drydown before diminishing enough that what was left was sweet, rich vanilla–deep into wear at the seven-hour mark.

Application

For testing, I used 1/3 of a 1ml sample vial dabbed to the underside and topside of my wrist area on my left arm. I used an unscented moisturizer prior to applying the scent as this is also my swatching arm (aka, incredibly parched at any given moment) as I found scent did not hold well here otherwise.

Longevity

It lasted for six hours until it was a skin-scent and about 10 hours before it was quite difficult to detect on my skin. The sillage and projection were moderate with the sillage dropping faster than the projection after two hours.

Personal Thoughts

I haven’t tried Montale’s Intense Cafe (I have tried Ristretto Intense Cafe, which I’ve read is different enough from Intense Cafe that I can’t weigh in here!), but it is one often referred to by others who have tried both and Montale’s is more affordable, so it’s a scent I’ll have to check out at some point.

Available Sizes

  • 50ml for $205
  • 0.7ml sample for $5
