Perfect Neutrals

Clionadh Perfect Neutrals Eyeshadow Bundle ($46.99 for 0.42 oz.) is a new, limited life (they’ll restock it a few times) collection of seven, pan-only eyeshadows. All seven shades had opaque color coverage and were easy to work with, as the textures were smooth, blendable, and creamier. Two shades had more sparkle content that resulted in a little fallout during application if working with a dry brush.

100% of profits from the sale of the bundle will be donated to True North Aid (which serves northern Indigenous communities in Canada) and The Black Queer Youth Collective (a Toronto-based organization that supports Black LGBTQIA+ youth).

Cookie

Cookie is a bright, light orange with strong, warm undertones and flecks of pink and peachy-orange sparkle over a metallic finish. It had rich pigmentation in a single layer, which adhered well to bare skin and blended out with ease. The texture was moderately dense, lightly creamy, and had great adhesion as fallout wasn’t a concern at all. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before creasing faintly.

Formula Overview

$6.00/0.05 oz. – $120.00 Per Ounce

There do not appear to be any specific claims made for the brand’s regular eyeshadow range, so being held to typical industry claims (as well as looking at the brand swatches), I’d expect rich pigmentation along with being blendable. The brand has an assortment of finishes, and the price point varies from finish to finish and has some variance within finish as well, but they tend to range from $6.00 CAD to $8.00 CAD, which converts to around $5.00 to $7.00 USD.

The more shimmery formulas were similar; they tended to be dense, lightly creamy, and blendable with excellent pigmentation and minimal chance of fallout. Some of the more sparkly shades felt more loosely-pressed while a few metallics were more emollient to the touch. They typically wore between eight and eight and a half hours on me before fading visibly (without primer).

Linny

Linny is a dark, pink-peach with flecks of pink and gold micro-sparkle over a metallic finish. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable with moderate density without being overly thick. It had rich color payoff that had excellent adhesion to bare skin regardless of application method. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Magz

Magz is a deep, more orange-leaning gold with strong, warm undertones and flecks of gold, chartreuse, and pink sparkle over a metallic finish. The eyeshadow had opaque color payoff that adhered well to the lid and diffused nicely along the edges. The texture was smooth, moderately dense, and lightly creamy, which helped the sparkles bind with the base on my skin. This shade lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Shani

Shani is a deep olive with warm, brownish undertones and flecks of larger sparkle over a metallic finish. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that felt moderately dense but had enough give to pick up readily with a dry brush. I had light fallout during application due to the larger particles in it, though. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

BrittBritt

BrittBritt is a blackened taupe base with subtle, warm undertones paired with multi-colored sparkles over a metallic finish. It was a more dimensional shade that was best applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush to ensure that all the larger flecks of sparkles adhered to the lid rather.

When I used a dry brush, I had some fallout when I initially applied and blended out the product, though there were plenty that adhered to my lid. It had opaque color coverage with a soft, slightly more loosely-pressed texture. It lasted well for eight and a half hours but had slight fallout over time.

Nic No 1

Nic No 1 is a medium-dark purple with subtle, warm undertones and a soft, metallic sheen. The texture was smooth, moderately dense but not too firmly pressed into the pan, which made it a cinch to pick up with a dry brush and still have excellent adhesion. The eyeshadow had rich color payoff that wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

It had opaque pigmentation paired with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was dense without being thick or too firmly pressed into the pan. There were signs of fading present after eight and a half hours of wear.
